CEO for Findhomeabroad FRANCE, David Olsson, stated that with the current state of the flight industry (which has suffered through increases in security, strikes, delays, and the ash cloud) the option to take a train to a French Alps ski resort is very appealing.  He added that those who are looking for a greener alternative than flying will find it on the new train transport.

The train provides links with both the Bourg-Saint-Maurice and Aime-la-Plagne which are located just minutes aware from new developments by the company.  The new Findhomeabroad France developments are Les Arcs 2000 and La Plagne 1800.

The La Plagne 1800 Crete Cote is a development that features many new apartments and chalets that al offer typical Savoyard style and close access to ski slopes.

One of the resorts you should make a special effort to visit is Courchevel located in the Tarentaise Valley which offers a landscape covered with many bars, restaurants, and bars as well as five separate altitudes filled with entertainment for you to enjoy.

From the top of the region, you can see 600km of perfectly maintained pistes that are set against the stunning backdrop of the Mont Blanc and Les Ecrins massif.

While exploring in the Savoie region, you will also want to take a moment to try out the popular run of Combe Saulire which faces North and has some of the best snow cover in the area.  The best time to hit this particular run however is in the morning because during the prime daytime skiing time it becomes quite busy.
