Selecting French ski accommodation

An avid skier may look at the Swiss Alps as an ideal location to plan a ski holiday, but not everyone has to same view especially when it comes to skiing.  Instead, the mountain term ‘French Alps’ may seem much more appearing to those looking to plan a winter ski holiday.

One reason is because of the top rate accommodation that surrounds the French Alps from chalets to gites to other nice accommodation choices.  A chalet is generally chosen for those who want the full service experience, while gites are more common for those who want to stay close to the slopes.

Those travelling with family members often choose accommodation that is best for the family taking into account everyone’s needs all the way down to the family pet if it is making the trip as well.

Another top concern is the view offered from the window of the resort or chalet given that the only thing more serene than a trip down the slopes is a magnificent view to watch the sun rise and set over.

After choosing and reserving a chalet or gite the next thing they should do is get online and find out what the ground conditions are like at their location.  If the conditions are excellent or at least satisfactory than a skier is all set, but if they are not it may be time to go back and look at more potential reservations.

While online a skier should also look at what transportation options are open for them at their chalet as some places will only have a horse to offer for transportation and others may offer full services or ski buses.
